Welcome to Befrienders Highland

Befrienders Highland is a voluntary organisation and charity that provides a free 1-1 befriending service for people across the Highlands who have experience of mental ill health and feel lonely and isolated, either socially and/or geographically.

Our trained volunteers offer confidential 1-1 regular social contact from which genuine friendships develop, improving the lives of our friends right across the Highland Council Region.

Befrienders Highland has been providing a valuable service since 1993. We now offer a Face to Face befriending Service to friends living in Inverness, Nairn or Ardersier areas as well as a Distance Befriending Service by phone, letter or email covering the wider Highlands.
