Referring for a Service
Who can apply to have a befriender?
- Mental Health Services anyone who is 18yrs+ and is receiving professional support for their mental health and lives in the Highland region can be referred or refer themselves.
- Memory and Carer Services anyone who either has memory loss OR is a carer for someone living in Highland region can be referred.
Who can make a referral?
- You can refer yourself
- Mental health workers, memory clinics, social work services, GP's, hospital professionals, voluntary organisations or family and friends can all make referrals
How is a referral made?
- Self-referral: If you would like to refer yourself, please download and complete one of the self-referral forms below, returning it to us via email or post, ensuring that the form is signed and dated (typed signature is accepted), or call us on the appropriate number (see our 'contact us' page). Please read our 'Information for Friends' document before self-referring.
- Referral: If you would like to refer someone please download and complete one of the referral forms below, returning it to us via email or post, ensuring that the form is signed and dated (typed / verbal signatures are accepted). Please read our 'Information for Referrers' document before referring.
